PREAMBLE

It is normally said about India that there is "unity in diversity". Art & Culture are the most important heritage of he country which contribute for unity and integration of the Country. All forms of Art & Culture need to be protected, preserved, promoted and projected. Amateur Artists all over the country are the life-line of Art & Culture. They have talents, dedication,determination and they are willing to secrifice for continuing their interest in the respective form of Art & Culture, By and large, they lack financial resources and support. New Delhi, being the capital of the country attracts all the artists for performance, exposure, interaction, exchange and media coverage.

ROLE OF NIPA

NIPA with its Head Quarter at New Delhi and having international affiliation wishes to act as a nodal agency as a coordinator, executor, facilitator, catalyst and change-agent by adopting pro-active roles by providing oppurtunities and facilities to all amateur performing artists to come to Delhi in fulfillment of their goals, which would also help and contribute in national integration.

WHAT NIPA IS LOOKING FOR

1. An auditorium at New Delhi with facilities of light, sound, as per international standards.


2. Basement for rehearsal, documentation and office.


3. Residential wings both for men and women with capacity of 20 beds each, kitchen facilities in each wing and other facilities.


4. Facilities for Communication, both ways - internet web - site, fax.


5. Documentation Centre, library, research & Publication.

METHODOLOGY

1. To develop directory of all amateur artists in the country.


2. To maintain liaison with institutions which are imparting education and training.


3. To inform all the amateur artists all over the country about the facilities available at Delhi.


4. To develop two-way communication system.


5. To provide auditorium and residential facilities on no profit - no loss basis.


6. To coordinate and to organize performances of all amateur artists/groups at Delhi and to extend non-financial support.

3. Contributions and cooperation from public and not be restricted to reciepts from Governments, industry and philanthropists.
