EVENT : 14th International Children's Theatre Festival at New Delhi.
THEME/ OBJECTIVES: Cultural exchange, promotion of children's theatre, human understanding
PARTICIPANTS: Children’s theater groups – Foreign / Indian - Delhi and groups from various parts of the country
GROUP SIZE: Twelve in each group (10 children and 2 adults- non actors). Member of the group beyond 12 may also attend the festival on payment basis on account of food and stay. The groups should bring their props and special equipments. NIPA would provide basic and simple theatrical set piece, available light & sound facilities in the Auditorium only.
AGE GROUP: 8 to 14 years
DURATION: 30 to 45 Minutes
PERIOD: From 14th November to 19th November 2010.
LANGUAGE: Respective language
One Member of the group should be able to communicate in English/ Hindi.
TRAVEL COST: To be borne by respective groups including visa charges, airport tax and insurance, etc.
HOSPITALITY AT DELHI: To be borne by NIPA for six days during 14th November to 19th November 2010. Stay will be in guest house/ reasonably good hotel but not of very high standard. Attempts will be made to explore the possibility of home stay with any Indian family.
LAST DATE OF APPLICATION: 30th April 2010
ISSUE OF INVITATION: 31st May 2010
OTHER PROGRAMMES/ ACTIVITIES:
(a) Local sight-seeing
(b) Visit to Agra on payment basis
(c) Visit/ performance in reputed schools
(d) Interactive sessions
(e) Cultural evening after the closing ceremony
(f) Publication of souvenir
(g) Dances of Short duration of each group preferably folk / traditional dance in their traditional dress.
